Iraqi police: Bomb targets church in Mosul |

Associated Press Writer BAGHDAD – Iraqi police and hospital officials say a bomb targeting a
church north of Baghdad has killed at least one person, one day ahead of
Christmas Eve services.
A police official says a bomb hidden in a handcart exploded Wednesday in
central Mosul, damaging the church. He spoke on condition of anonymity
because he was not authorized to speak to the media. A hospital official confirmed the casualty toll. He also declined to be
named. It was not immediately clear whether the person killed and those injured
were worshippers.
